Frequently Asked Questions

Getting In

What's the age policy for shows?

All shows are recommended 18+ unless otherwise noted on the event page. Exceptions can sometimes be made; give us a call at 513-824-5506 if you have questions about a specific show.

Is the comedy clean, or should I expect adult content?

It depends on the comedian; we don't book one type of comedy across the board. Some nights lean clean, some don't. If you want to know what you're walking into, look up the specific comedian on the lineup beforehand. What we can promise: everyone we book is genuinely funny and knows their craft.

Is there a cover charge on top of my ticket?

No. There's no cover charge beyond your ticket price, and no drink minimum.

Getting There

Where do I park?

Free, well-lit street parking surrounds the venue. If Hamilton Ave is full, try Robinson Circle or Stanford Drive nearby.

Is The Comet wheelchair accessible?

The venue is wheelchair accessible, but the building as a whole isn't fully ADA compliant. If you have specific accessibility needs, call us at 513-824-5506 and we'll do what we can to accommodate you.

During the Show

Can I get food?

Yes! The Comet menu is available during shows, including our burritos, quesadillas, tacos, and the rest of the lineup regulars know and love.

How long does a show run?

Most shows run 90 minutes to 2 hours.

Who's actually performing — just the headliner?

Most shows feature a host, two feature acts, and a headliner. Special guests pop in all the time, so you're usually seeing more comedians than just the one on the poster.

Open Mic

How do I sign up for Git Gud Open Mic?

It's classic open mic style: show up, sign up, go up. You can sign up anytime after 6pm; the mic itself starts at 7pm. As long as you sign up before the list closes, you'll get on stage. You don't need to show up right at 6 to grab a spot.
